Dr. Raman Srivastava joined the Federal Public Service of Canada in January 1997. He began his career as Policy Economist with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. He then worked in various capacities at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, the Department of Health, the Treasury Board Secretariat, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada as well as the Public Service Commission of Canada.
Dr. Srivastava currently works as Director General – Evaluation at the Department of National Defence. In his current role, he provides the organization-wide leadership in evaluating the annual program spending of approximately $18.5 billion. Before this, he served as a Director General at the Public Service Commission (PSC), from July 2014 to September 2016, and as a Director General at the Department of Citizenship and Immigration, from June 2011 to July 2014.
